Black Magic Cake

Black Magic Cake

2 c. flour
2 c. granulated sugar
¾ c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 c. strong black coffee
1 c. milk
½ c. oil
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Add eggs and liquids. Stir until batter is smooth. ( batter will be very thin) Makes 13 x 9 or two 9 in. rounds. Bake 35 min. or until tester comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan.

Peanut Butter  Frosting
½ c. creamy peanut butter
1 lb. confectioners sugar ( 1 box powdered sugar)
7 – 8 tbs. milk or half n half

Peanut butter frosting is a favorite with this cake. Blend peanut butter and 1/3 c. sugar, alternately add the remaining sugar and milk, add vanilla.
